Biography: Biljana Obradovic - Bixy
Biljana Obradovic-Bixy is truly an alround artist – a singer, musician, composer and even a music professor. She is the first and only female artist in Serbia playing a keyboard and singing.
She was born in 1982 in Kraljevo, Central Serbia. At age 5 she expressed the strong will to play the accordeon. Her first teacher was her father, who taught her the first songs. From then on, she walked her own road. Used to public attention from early childhood, she appeared in various TV and radio shows. Bixy gave her first solo concert when she was 14.
Strongminded as she was, she insisted on having professional training as a musician, graduating at the Belgrade Music Academy. At that time she started working on her first studio album, which was published in 2009 by Serbia’s leading music label PGP RTS. The title of this first compilation of self-composed music was „Undestructable“. The songs express a unique sensibility and emotion through her vocal expression, melodical structure and of course, the lyrics.

Even before her album came out, she was already leaving a mark on the Serbian musical scene. In 2008 she won the Best Newcomer Award at the Serbian Festival of Pop Music in Vrnjacka Banja, only to return the year after to win the award for Best Composition. She made numerous appearances not only in Serbia, but also all over Europe and Asia. Bixy sings in nine languages and plays several musical instruments.
